we've got us a new Bass Guitar Man... Harold Martin plays bass, sings and writes music too... he lives in the South Bay and loves the music of the Doobie Bros. like the rest of us...  come out and meet Harold on the Bass, he's a Doobie brother from another Doobie mother... 

We had a fantastic time last week at the Chicken Coop in SJ... thanks to our families and our friends who came out to see us play...  a very good looking crowd with great taste in music...    :- )    

it's sooo much fun to play this music... the band members all agree that the Doobie Bros. Music is challenging and fun at the same time... their music includes Pop, Country, R & B, Hard Rock, Gospel and a little Southern Rock too... that's the beauty of their song list... it feels good to pay tribute to the Doobie Bros. and we're happy you enjoy their music too...  we'll see you at the next LTR show...  cheers...

Long Train Runnin' will be performing at the Skyport Chicken Coop Friday, November 16th.  Show starts at 8:30pm (no cover charge) but come early to grab some delicious Chicken Coop cuisine.  The Skyport Chicken Coop is located at 90 Skyport Dr, San Jose, CA 95110, just down the street from the San Jose Airport.

Come and kick off the Holiday Season with Long Train Runnin' at the Coop.  It's gonna be a rockin' good time!

Great News!!! LTR will be performing at the San Jose Rock 'n Roll Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 7th...  the band is scheduled to perform on STAGE B13 on The Alameda at 9:00am...  the Marathon begins at 8:00am so get there early...  there will be a spectator area near STAGE B13 where you can cheer for the band and cheer for the runners on their way to the Finish Line... it'll be a Rock 'n Runnin' Good Time!! 

Yes, Summer is almost over and LTR would like to Thank all of you who came out to see us this year. We had a Rockin Good Time.  Last week in D'town Mt View, we played to a hundreds of people who came to dance and Rock Out with us. A good time was had by all. We've had a great season and we can hardly wait for next Summer.

Our next Fall/Winter Season will include a few club dates and other Special Events at different locations. Be sure to check the website for news and updates. 

FYI:  Members of LTR are also members of other bands that perform around the South Bay.  Johnny Reason performs regularly at the Sonoma Chicken Coop... Andy Thrall plays with local bands, including the Cruzers' and performs all around the area too... Dan Robbins plays in Jazz Ensembles around town, including the Kuumbwa Night Club in D'town Santa Cruz... Andy, Dave and Mark are members of the Joe Sharino Band are can be seen throughout the South Bay as well...  Be sure to check out THEIR Websites for news and updates... 

and don't forget to check out the tributees, The Doobie Bros. in Concert at the Mt. Winery and at the Sleeptrain Pavilion in Concord. They are sooooo good in concert. LTR members have gone to see them many times and they put on a fantastic show. We know you'll love them too.

LONG TRAIN RUNNIN 

It was a HOT Wednesday Nite in D'town S'vale for our Live Dance Concert...  we were Takin It To The Streets BABY and we had a great time...  hope you all had a great time too...  

a special Thanks going out to the THE SHANKS!  playing some unique Classic Rock for you early in the evening...  I've got some great pictues of Dave and Mark doing the Fandango...  oooh weee...I'll be posting some of those pictures for you to see soon, stay tuned... 

btw: do you have a favorite Doobie Song? let us know and we'll be sure it gets on our Set List... the Doobies have soo many great songs to choose from and we'd love to hear from you and your favorite Doobie Song...

We played our First Gig at the Campbell Summer Music Series last Thursday and had a great time playing the Music of the Doobie Bros.  It was great to see soo many people dancing and grooving to the music. Some of the highlights included Classic Doobie Songs like BLACK WATER, ROCKIN DOWN THE HIGHWAY, NEAL'S FANDANGO and many others...  there was a guitar duel with Johnny Reason and Dave Petrucci on DANGEROUS... an Outstanding Bass Guitar Solo by Dan Robbins and great Tenor Sax Solos by Mark Belshaw... the set ended with a Drum Battle by Mr. Mo and Mr. T.  a good time was had by all!!
